Give Toward 30 CISSP Scholarships to Make a Big Impact in Someone’s Career

Earning the CISSP by ISC2, the world’s premier cybersecurity certification, has the power to change the trajectory of a person’s career and life. On average, CISSP holders earn $119,577 annually according to the ISC2 Workforce Study.

The Center for Cybersafety and Education, the charitable arm of ISC2, launched a new campaign to provide 30 scholarships for CISSP and other ISC2 certifications in honor of the 30th anniversary of the CISSP.

"By providing these 30 scholarships, we are removing the financial barrier to CISSP certification for deserving individuals who may not otherwise be able to afford the exam and training," said Holly Schneider Brown, Senior Director of the Center. “We soft launched the campaign with our ISC2 staff and saw how strongly the staff believed in the impact of this effort. Amentum and KnowBe4 also see the value and have joined as corporate supporters. We are looking forward to the support of ISC2 members and the public to get us to our goal of $30,000 by May 15th.” 

Terence Dutton, CISSP and Senior Exam Content Development Manager for ISC2 has seen the positive impact the CISSP can have for certification holders.

“A CISSP certification can have the power to change the trajectory of a person’s career, their lives and possibly have a multi-generational impact on their family,” Dutton said.

The material that scholarship recipients will gain access to includes an exam voucher, hardcopy or digital study materials, online self-paced training, and their first year AMF paid upon passing the exam and becoming endorsed.

Scholarships from the Center truly make a difference in the lives of the recipients, including Kwadjo Nyante who, thanks in part to his scholarship, was able to earn multiple master’s degrees and his CISSP before eventually becoming a CISO.
