ISC2’s Unified Body of Knowledge Project is developing a universal educational resource by and for security professionals to support the future of the profession and the greater information security community. The outcome of the project will be a growing collection of knowledge that contains cybersecurity best practices, cutting-edge approaches, evergreen knowledge, role-specific insights and thought leadership.
To successfully complete this landmark project, ISC2-certified volunteers are collaborating globally. So far, they have evaluated over 2,220 topics on cybersecurity knowledge, skills, abilities and tasks. Once complete, these will map with and beyond all of ISC2's certification schemes. Additional outstanding achievements so far include:
- Engagement from 330+ ISC2 members representing 40+ countries
- 4,151+ cybersecurity concepts analyzed, evaluated, and processed
- 5,145+ CPE credit eligible volunteer hours

- “Working and collaborating with my fellow CISSPs on the Unified Body of Knowledge Content Advisory Panel 1 Workshop has been an exceptional experience. In addition to working on the workshop items, we had the opportunity to share industry experience, learn about each other's career journeys in different parts of the globe, and witness how the CISSP knowledge has influenced our careers, including some of us establishing thriving businesses. I am grateful for the opportunity and looking forward to the next one.” – Samuel Rugi, CISSP
