Cybersecurity professionals at every stage of their career are encouraged to attend ISC2 SECURE London, the in-person one-day event on 21 November at Prospero House in the UK’s capital, to engage in networking and learning from high quality speakers and ISC2 leadership.
ISC2 SECURE London’s agenda will cover critical topics such as CISO and board accountability, aligning security goals with business objectives, the latest developments in incident and crisis management, the latest AI advancements reshaping cybersecurity, navigating the complexities of GDPR and mitigating supply chain risks.
What to Expect:
The day begins with coffee and networking in the exhibit hall with fellow cybersecurity professionals, ISC2 members, and leaders.
Liz Banbury, CISSP, CISO at Thames Water will kick of the morning with the opening keynote “Navigating New Challenges in a High-Stakes Environment.” Liz oversees the unique security requirements of critical infrastructure providers. This sector is a prime target for a wide array of threats. Liz will discuss these unique security challenges emphasizing the need for a comprehensive, multi-layered approach to protecting vital assets.
The day continues with a Lessons Learned session on: “Building ‘Role Governance as Code’ Solution led by Kirill Bogdanov, CISSP, Regional Security Team Lead in Spain, Security Architect, EPAM Systems. You’ll hear about the exciting world of cloud roles, identities, their lifecycle and governance and what you should consider implementing.
The late morning session will focus on the importance of securing Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Operational Technology (OT) as critical infrastructure becomes increasingly more connected to the internet. Nick Palmer, Technical Director, Censys, will explore the latest research and highlight significant security risks associated with UK critical infrastructure. This session will focus on:
- The state of ICS/OT vulnerabilities in the UK and key industry sectors at risk.
- How over 80% of exposed administrative interfaces relate to building controls.
- Key protocols at risk, such as EtherNet/IP and DNP3, and the dangers of unprotected Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
- Practical steps organisations can take to safeguard critical infrastructure from emerging threats.
After lunch, in the session “The New AI Threat Landscape: A Growing Challenge for Security Professionals” you’ll hear about AI risks and regulatory challenges that organizations must adapt to quickly. Isabel Barbera, AI Privacy and Security Engineer at Rhite, and Expert Advisor at ENISA, will explore the evolving AI threat landscape and will address key security concerns in AI development, procurement, and usage while offering strategies for effective risk management and compliance with emerging regulations like the EU AI Act.
A panel discussion led by Jon France, CISSP, CISO of ISC2 alongside four speakers on the topic of “Mastering Executive Accountability and Communication on Cyber Security” will help you to engage executives and board members with successful communication regarding Security Compliance posture that requires different focus and strategies.
