Credly
recently celebrated ISC2 among the
leading organizations making strides in digital credentialing. Digital badges allow professionals to showcase their credentials and
employers to electronically verify certification and skills.
ISC2 offers over 60 digital badges through Credly. These include all nine certifications, associate and candidate status as well as acknowledgements for workshop participation, certification and course completion and more. In 2024, ISC2 issued over 575,000 unique badges to more than 515,000 earners.
“ISC2 members appreciate the ease of sharing their badges and showcasing
their accomplishments within their networks. The platform also helps
protect both members and the public from credential fraud by ensuring
that only valid certifications are recognized.” - Casey Marks, ISC2
Chief Qualifications Officer
Badges can be shared anywhere you can add a hyperlink from your email signature to your mobile wallet or on your personal website. However, virtual networking locations, like LinkedIn and Facebook, are the most popular. When a viewer selects a shared badge, they are provided with the badge description, issuing institution, associated skills and earning criteria.
Digital badging also helps support awareness efforts and has been helpful for ISC2’s offer of One Million free Certified in Cybersecurity courses and exams. So far, over 65,000 members hold the Certified in Cybersecurity badge.
