New series of risk management courses from ISC2 designed to affirm knowledge and support skills development, with learners earning a certificate in risk management by completing the full course program.

As the threat landscape is evolving, so is the financial and reputational risk of a data breach. The implications are something that boardrooms are acutely aware off. Those with the necessary skills to analyze and manage cybersecurity risk are being called into high-level strategy and organization risk conversations more so than ever before. This isn’t lost on hiring managers, who in the latest ISC2 Cybersecurity Workforce Study noted that risk assessment, analysis and management was the second highest technical skill they are seeking right now while filling roles.

Cyber professionals looking to advance their career, set themselves apart or find a new path have an opportunity to earn a Risk Management Certificate from ISC2. This certificate empowers learners with advanced mitigation and remediation knowledge and the skills to identify, assess and provide expert analysis for organizational risk. It is comprised of three cybersecurity compliance courses: Exploring Risk Standards, Practical Risk Methods and Conducting Practical Risk Analysis.

These courses support governance risk and compliance in any cybersecurity role and are recommended to learners with a working knowledge of security practices and principles. To achieve a Risk Management Certificate, learners need to complete all three courses:

Exploring Risk Standards (2 CPE Credits)

Exploring Risk Standards fosters a more comprehensive understanding of risk at all levels of the organization. This course explores international risk standards and empowers learners with comprehensive standards and guidelines to enhance the risk practitioner's tools, techniques and general understanding of risk management.

Practical Risk Methods (3 CPE Credits)

Practical Risk Methods empowers learners with techniques to better compare and measure risk with methods for calculating value while assessing and prioritizing opportunities. Topics are presented from a practical perspective, not tied to a particular framework or standard. Learners will be exposed to qualitative and quantitative methods to foster consistent and effective estimates of organizational risks.

Conducting Practical Risk Analysis (7 CPE Credits)

Conducting Practical Risk Analysis provides practical examples and experience working through risk assessment, analysis, mitigation, remediation and communication. Learners gain comprehensive insights into effectively using risk data, examining operational risk management and disseminating actionable information and findings. This course aids discovery, exploration and analysis to fully comprehend the business impacts of risk.
