ISC2gether Volunteer Month

JOIN THE MOVEMENT!

ISC2 is holding its third annual ISC2gether global community service event for the entire month of April. ISC2gether provides opportunities for ISC2 members, chapters, staff, their families, and friends to unite for change to give back, provide service to their communities, provide help to those less fortunate, and carry out activities to help improve the world around us. Plan one event or a series of events throughout the month. Make a difference in your community by participating in ISC2gether!

Get Involved!
Many ISC2 Chapters will be organizing activities in their local community during the month of April. You can choose to participate in your chapter’s event, host an activity with family, friends, or colleagues, or participate on your own. Opportunities may consist of cybersecurity awareness education and activities or serving your local community in a non-cyber-related way.

Get Started!
There are a few ways you can participate in ISC2gether:

  • ISC2 Chapter Participation – ISC2 encourages all chapters to get involved by hosting a service project in the local community. If your chapter is interested in participating, pre-register your event using the Chapter Pre-Event Registration Form. U.S. Chapters will receive a voucher for ordering t-shirts upon registering (international chapters will receive a stipend).
  • Team Participation – create a group volunteer event to connect with others in your area and then report it to us afterwards by completing the Team Participation Form. (Note: this form does not apply to Chapter teams)
  • Individual Participation – serve with a local charitable or non-profit organization activity and report back to us using the Individual Participation Form. There’s no need to register upfront!

After service activities have been completed, report your participation to ISC2 by May 9th so your service and time is recorded. A new submission form is required for each volunteer activity you complete during the month of April.

To learn more about participating in this activity, refer to the following resources:

Get CPEs!
You can earn Group A or B CPEs for your participation in ISC2gether depending on whether your activity is cyber-related or not. To earn CPEs, please note the following:

  • Chapters/Team Participation – for your volunteer participants to receive CPEs, you must complete the CPE Submission Form with names and ISC2 Member ID numbers and submit it to volunteer@isc2.org.

NOTE: Chapters must also complete a Chapters Post-Event Participation Form in addition to the CPE Submission Form.

Forms must be completed and submitted by May 9, 2025. ISC2 will submit CPEs on behalf of all participants who completed the forms. Again, be sure to include your ISC2 member ID to receive credit!

“The event was a success and has inspired me to further engage with the community and offer additional sessions throughout the year to educate and empower our seniors in this digital age. The initiative not only provided valuable knowledge but also fostered a sense of community and support that is often needed but sometimes overlooked.

- Donald Washington
