Issei Tomita, CISSP

Issei Tomita is an information security instructor with nearly 20 years of experience, providing training on organizational risk management and incident response.

He has been working with LAC Co., Ltd., a leading cybersecurity company in Japan since 2000, where he has been deeply involved in the field of information security. Early in his career, he was responsible for the design, construction, and operation of firewalls, mail servers, and DNS servers for internet banking systems at major financial institutions in Japan. Later, his role expanded to include supporting the development of security policies and providing information security consulting.

Since 2006, leveraging his technical expertise, he’s been working as an information security instructor, delivering a wide range of training programs for general staff, IT system administrators, and executives. Additionally, he designed and conducted incident response training programs, including scenario-based simulations that involve CSIRT members, executives, public relations, and legal personnel, providing hands-on experience in dealing with real-world incidents.

Moreover, since 2009, he’s been an authorized instructor for ISC2, primarily conducting courses in Japanese. In his training sessions, he focuses on equipping participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively communicate the importance and benefits of security measures to both internal and external stakeholders. In all my training programs, I strive to ensure that participants not only understand the importance of security but can also apply their learnings in their day-to-day work.
