Meet ISC2 Instructor Simon Salmon

Simon Salmon, CISSP, CSSLP, CCSP

Simon has worked in cybersecurity for over twenty years, heading up security across both government and commercial sectors including leading one of the very first successful global implementations of the BS7799 security framework (now ISO27001), and working as Head of IT Security for England's tenth biggest city.

With a diverse academic background spanning business, accountancy and a distinction award in his Master degree in Computing, he also holds over twenty certifications relating to IT and cyber security covering governance, risk, compliance and technical specialisms. Simon is a certified lead auditor, forensic specialist and malware inspector.

Simon has worked as a director, head of IT and operational technology lead for various companies, leading services of 150+ people. He has been a trainer with ISC2 since 2015 and has helped to deliver and develop content for ISC2 during that time.

Simon also currently serves as a director of an ISP, a trustee of an academy and a Head of IT for a government agency in the United Kingdom.
